A new holy grille is slated to be installed in the holy shrine of Imam Ali’s companion, Maytham al- Tammar, peace be upon him.
Sheikh Khlifa al-Jawhar, the secretary-general of the holy shrine, said that the new holy grille was received from the Iranian borders to be transported to Maytham al-Tammar Holy Shrine, passing through the Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
A ceremony was held to celebrate the holy grille’s arrival attended by a number of holy shrines’ representatives, Shia Endowment representatives, and masses of the Ahl al-Bayt lovers.
Al-Jawhar added that the manufacturing process took two years to be accomplished; nevertheless, the holy grille measures 5x4x5m3 and is inlaid with gold, silver, and copper.
The opening ceremony will be on Seyyeda Zainab’s birth anniversary on the fifth of Jammada Alawal.
