The Chief Cleric of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine and representative of the Supreme Religious Authority Sayed Ahmad al-Safi met with the leaders of the al-Abbas Combat Division ahead of the Tal-A'far battle.

The meeting was held at the Hall of al-Qasem son of al-Hassan at the holy shrine and was attended by a number of satellite channels and news agencies.

The following are the most prominent recommendations made by His Eminence to the PMU division’s leadership:

1- We should not underestimate the enemy's capabilities as long as they are carrying a weapon there is a risk of suffering losses.  The courageous fighter is the one who neither neglects nor underestimates the enemy, however at the same time, countering his enemy with vigilance and readiness, and seeks to evoke all possibilities to win the battle.

2- The division’s training courses must never be suspended as they increases the level of eagerness of the fighters.

3- Adhering to the ethics of Ahl al-Bayt regardless of the circumstance. These moral lessons are very important for several reasons:

Firstly: This battle is a historic and fateful battle in which everything will be recorded. The most important thing is to record the ethical aspects of the war and preserve the lives of innocent civilians.

Secondly: Saving an innocent is better than killing a terrorist. Undoubtedly, our military division is committed to this, but I emphasize on this point for you all to carefully examine and differentiate between a fighter and a non-combatant.

4- The communication, cooperation and coordination between you all and the security elements involved in this operation should be at the highest levels of accuracy.

5- No fighter should not have the obsession of thinking that he was the one who achieved victory, our main goal is to be victorious together, and this spirit if maintained, victory will come soon, God willing.
