Indian Ambassador to Iraq visits Representative of Ayatollah Sistani

The Chief Cleric of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and representative of the Supreme Religious Authority his Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalaey welcomed the Indian ambassador to Iraq in his office in the holy shrine.

“This is my first time appointed as an ambassador of my country to the Republic of Iraq. It is my honor to visit the holy city of Karbala and become a visitor to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, who is the epitome of humanity,” said Ambassador Pradeep Rajpurohit.

Rajpurohit expressed his admiration of the organization and services offered to the pilgrim stressing that “it should be implemented in other places of worship including churches and synagogues.”

 

The Indian official pointed out that numerous Indian doctors are operating in various hospitals across Iraq and this joint project between the two countries is ongoing.
