Britain's National Health Service (NHS) announced that a project began based on a research prepared at the British University of Leeds dealing with the impact of the Islamic religion in the treatment of mental disorders.

Statements made by NHS and aired on BBC reveal “signs of success of this method," in reference to treatment with the Holy Qur'an. According to the BBC, the results were astonishing as they contradict with psychiatrists’ notion of staying away from religion for any treatments.

Dr. Ghazala Mir, head of the research team at the Health Sciences Institute at the University of Leeds, confirms that many therapists are mistaken by not including religious belief in their treatments.

Mir added, “We know that Muslim societies receive faster results by taking into account faith-healing methods, as tried in many places of the world. Muslims, in particular, use religion as a means for everything more than other religious groups.”
