Al Quran TV of Karbala Satellite Channels Group, affiliated to Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, plans to broadcast 12 hours of Quran recitations by different Qaris, the TV’s director said.

Haidar Nouri Jilukhan said Al Quran TV’s activities are focused on promoting the Quranic discourse and its programs are based on the needs of today’s society.

Quran recitations by different reciters constitute a large part of the TV’s programs, Jilukhan said, adding that in the near future, recitation programs will be broadcasted 12 hours a day and various Quranic programs will be aired during the other 12 hours.

Currently, the TV channel is recording recitations by several prominent Iraqi reciters such as Sheikh Maitham al-Tammar, Hajj Osama al-Karbalayi, Mustafa al-Qalibi, and Rafi al-Amiri.

The director mentioned that there has also been an agreement with Iran’s Quran TV recently to share its archive of recitations by Iranian reciters.

Al Quran TV channel was launched in March 2016 to serve the Holy Book.
