The Archdiocese of Roman Catholics of Sour, Lebanon, Archbishop Mikhael Abras, confirmed during an Ashura mourning ceremony that “The fruits planted by Imam Hussein will continue for generations to come until the Day of Judgment, as the believer in this case forms the key to victory of good against evil.”

“We, Christians, firmly believe that Muslims are martyred for the benefit of Hussein,” the religious leader added.

We Christians have a firm belief that the believers are martyred for the benefit of the believer and the Saint of Islam, Imam Hussein. His memory is worthy of eternal remembrance. His martyrdom is a day of mourning for humanity and a victory for all because Hussein was and remains the conscience of the living nation.”
