Sheikh Maytham al-Zaidi, general supervisor of the Abbas Combat Division, affiliated with the al-Abbas Holy Shrine, has revealed the commencement of new liberation operations in western Anbar.
“We believe this battle will be the final battle against ISIS and our forces are participating as a key element,” said al-Zaidi in a statement to the International Media Center.
The general supervisor added that they have summoned 5000 fighters from their reserve forces, 3000 of which will be responsible for securing the massive pilgrimage of Arbaeen and the rest to participate in the Qai’m liberation operation.
Al-Zaidi mentioned that securing the massive pilgrimage will be in coordination with the Middle Euphrates Command Operations.
