A delegation of French experts including the heritage expert Dr. Jeerul Deen Shatlard and the documentary photographer Agnes Muntari visited the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali.
The delegation was received by an official from the Public Relations Department, Dr. Zaid al-Akayshi.
Heritage expert Dr. Shatlard explained “We came here to train and teach Iraqis the methods of collecting and documenting the heritage details. We are collecting and documenting the Husseini rituals in a detailed article to register it internationally and among the global heritage of the countries in UNESCO.”
Dr. al-Akayshi said, “The mutual efforts of the Holy Shrine, the Ministry of Culture and the Cultural House have documented the historical sites and the activities of the millions of pilgrims of the Shrine.”
He added that after ten days of practicing her job, the expert visited the Holy Shrine and was presented a book of the life history of Imam Ali, peace be upon him in English.
