Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has opened the gates of Warith al-Anbiya University in Karbala.
University President Dr. Nofal al-A’raji stated, “This university represents one of the leading projects of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and is expected to pay an active role in serving the society in attracting students and qualifying them in engineering, medical and law fields, according to the other public universities.”
Warith al-Anbiya University will include the faculties of engineering, administration and economics, law and pathology.
“The admission of students will be on the basis of the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and according to the central admission mechanism,” added al-A’raji, pointing out that there are plans to open evening classes corresponding in the near future.
For his part, university’s holy shrine representative Sayyid Afdhal al-Shami mentioned, “The aim of establishing this university is not for financial benefits, but on the sincere desire to provide the society with scientific and ethical competencies.”
The tuition of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine’s Warith al-Anibya University will be lower than other private universities.
The university is ready to receive students for the 2017-2018 school year.
