Nafiseh, a female Quran teacher in Jharkhand, eastern India, has produced the translation in Braille, according to reports.
When in university, Nafiseh started learning the Quran but had many difficulties as there were no translations of the Holy Book in Hindi she could read easily.
Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about 487 million people in India.
It took Nafiseh three years, from 2005 to 2008, to complete the Hindi translation in Braille but no one has yet come forward to help her publish it.
Braille is a writing system which enables the blind and partially-sighted people to read and write through touch.
It was invented by Louis Braille (1809-1852), who was blind and became a teacher of the blind.
In recent years, the Holy Quran and religious books have been printed in Braille to help the visually-impaired Muslims read the texts with ease.
